2. www.eduplace.com/kids/mw/manip/mn_2.html - This Houghton Mifflin website has a variety of e-manipulatives, including base-ten blocks, counters, coins and bills, connecting cubes, fractions and decimals, number lines, addition tables, multiplication tables, and the 100 chart.
3. arcytech.org/java/ - This website contains Java applets that allow students to explore concepts related to money, time, and fractions.
4. matti.usu.edu/nlvm/nav/vlibrary.html -This Utah State University website has virtual manipulatives for interactive mathematics.
5. www.funbrain.com - A variety of math skills can be reviewed through interactive games such as Measure It!, Math Baseball, Shape Surveyor, Change Maker, and Fresh Baked Fractions. The activities are for grades K-12.

Problem Solving
The following sites provide activities with a strong emphasis on the development of students’ problem-solving skills.

2. www.mathcats.com/storyproblems/housecat2.html - This site contains story problems written by students. The answers are scrambled, but they appear when the cursor is moved across the screen.
3. mathforum.org/mathmagic/ - The MathMagic website contains posted challenges intended to motivate students to use computer technology while increasing problem-solving strategies and communication skills.
4. www.mathstories.com The House of Math Word Problems on this site contain problems at the elementary level in both English and Spanish.
5. www.wits.ac.za/ssproule/elem_pow.html - The Problem of the Week website has links to other POW sites at all academic levels and includes a site rating system.

No coding needs to be done, so teachers with limited computer experience can participate. This is an inexpensive alternative to having a personal website.
